Lane Realignment at KL-Seremban Highway
SYARIKAT MENGURUS AIR BANJIR DAN TEROWONG
SDN BHD, the concessionaire cum contractor
for the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel Project
(SMART) will carry out re-alignment of lanes along
the KL-Seremban Highway.
The re-routing will take effect from 2 September,
2005 at the Seremban-bound stretch in front of the
RMAF.
The existing lanes will be realigned to the left
and the number of lanes will remain the same. The
new traffic management is implemented to facilitate
on-going work at the motorway section of the SMART
project.

SMART is a flood mitigation project being implemented
by the Government with the Department of Drainage
Malaysia as the main supervising authority. The project
has a secondary purpose of reducing traffic congestion
between the KL-Seremban Highway and the city centre.
The motorway section of the project is being supervised
by the Malaysian Highway Authority. SMART will see
full completion by end of 2006.
The project is being carried out by MMC Corporation
Berhad – Gamuda Berhad Joint Venture partners.
