Jalan Tun Razak Traffic Diversion
Effective 11 June 2004, a temporary traffic
management scheme will be implemented along Jalan
Tun Razak (near Wisma TIME) to facilitate construction
work for the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel
Project (SMART). The new traffic management will be
effective for eight months, until February
2005.
Under the new scheme, the lanes for traffic from
the Kampung Pandan Roundabout towards Jalan Ampang
will be reduced from three to two lanes.
As alternative, Bukit Bintang- bound will be diverted
into Jalan Selatan, Jalan Melur, Jalan Utara and Jalan
Delima which connects to Jalan Bukit Bintang.
This traffic management will not affect traffic
in the opposite direction, ie Jalan Ampang to the
Kampung Pandan Roundabout.
SMART is a flood mitigation project being implemented
to alleviate flooding in the city centre.
Any inconvenience caused to the public is regretted.
Directional signage will be erected to guide road
users on the new traffic scheme.
