Minor Traffic Diversion at Kampung Pandan Roundabout
SYARIKAT Mengurus Air Banjir dan Terowong Sdn Bhd,
the concessionaire for the Stormwater Management and
Road Tunnel (SMART) project will be implementing a
minor traffic diversion at the Kampung Pandan Roundabout
effective 17 July, 2004
The diversion to be effective for a year, will only
affect traffic heading to Jalan Davis and Jalan Tun
Razak at the roundabout.
The roundabout will be enlarged and the traffic
lanes will be shifted about 20m to the left. The existing
number of lanes will be retained.
SMART is a dual purpose project being implemented
by the Government to solve the flooding problems in
the city centre and relieve traffic congestion between
the Southern Gateway ( KL-Seremban Highway ) and the
city centre. The project is scheduled for completion
in the end of 2006.
The diversion at the Kampung Pandan Roundabout is
to facilitate work at the motorway section of the
project.
