Important Milestone...
SMART's second tunnel boring machine (partly seen
on the right ) was named GEMILANG at a simple ceremony
held recently at the project site. SMART or the Stormwater
Management and Road Tunnel is a flood mitigation project
being implemented in Kuala Lumpur. The project also
has a secondary purpose of alleviating traffic congestion.
The project is due for completion in December 2006.
